As we look to the year ahead, I want to thank you all for your support in the year just past. In 2023, Hospice Austin cared for over 2,000 of your neighbors in Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties, which resulted in 123,000 days of care. Your support enabled us to provide more than $1.8 million in uncompensated care to patients with little or no insurance. It permitted us to help our patients most in need with groceries and rent through the Stateman’s Season for Caring campaign. It allowed us to provide 286 bereavement support group meetings and more than 1300 counseling sessions to those grieving the death of a loved one.
Whether you bid on an auction item at Beauty of Life, volunteered to play cards with a patient, donated to Season for Caring, voted us best hospice in the Statesman’s Community Choice Awards, or supported us during Amplify Austin – however you share yourself with Hospice Austin – you are an integral part of our organization’s success. Your generosity is an affirmation of the work we do, and we are a better organization because of you.
